The most unexpectedly BEST appetizer! Your house will smell like heaven while they are cooking.
1 lb. Maple cured bacon
2 cans whole water chestnuts
1 cup sugar
1 cup ketchup

Cut bacon in half and roll one whole chestnut with each bacon half using toothpick to hold together.
Bake at 350 in a glass dish until bacon is cooked.
Drain most of the grease (leaving a little in the pan).
Mix sugar and ketchup in a bowl and pour the mixture over the bacon chestnuts.
Cook another 20 – 30 minutes.
