Barbara Joy's Hummus

Easy and healthy
The perfect, healthy dip for pita bread, carrot sticks, and crackers."


1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans/chick peas, drained
2 tbsp sesame seeds (NOT toasted)
3 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp lemon juice (juice of ½ lemon)
1 tbsp olive or peanut oil
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 large garlic cloves, minced


In food processor, process sesame seeds and garbanzo beans until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. Process until smooth. Serve as a dip with fresh vegetables and pita bread.
