Compact Size with Full-Size Performance

STAMFORD, CT - June 2003 Cuisinart, a leading producer of culinary appliances and professional quality cookware, has expanded its food processor collection with the Handy Prep™ 3-cup Food Processor, model no. DFP-3. The newest addition to Cuisinart's renowned food processor line, the Handy Prep™ features many of the same product benefits as its full size counterparts, yet with the convenience of a smaller work bowl. The Handy Prep™ can accommodate a variety of culinary tasks and quickly chops, slices, shreds, mixes and purées. The new food processor can even handle tough tasks like kneading dough for bread and pizza.

"Many consumers were looking for a moderate-sized food processor--something with the professional quality performance they associate with Cuisinart, but with a capacity to better fit their lifestyle needs," says Mary Rodgers, Director of Marketing Communications for Cuisinart and Waring. "The DFP-3 meets these needs with high-end features that deliver versatility in food preparation and time-saving results."

The DFP-3 features Cuisinart's signature metal "S" blade for chopping and mixing, and a feed tube on the work bowl cover that allows ingredients to be added while the processing continues, uninterrupted. The new model also comes with a convenient feed chute attachment for continuous shredding and slicing of large quantities, and a special ejector disc that directs ingredients through the chute attachment for more efficient processing.

The 3-cup food processor comes with Cuisinart's patented thin slicing disc (2mm), medium shredding disc, spatula, and recipe book. All parts are dishwasher safe.

Other convenience features of the Handy Prep™ include four non-skid feet for greater stability and a small "footprint" that allows it to sit conveniently on the countertop for convenient access. The product is backed by a full 5-year motor warranty and a 3-year limited warranty on the entire unit.
