Coffee on Demand™ 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker

Coffee on Demand™ 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker

September 2005 Food for Thought:

"Single-serve is impacting every segment of the coffee market and keeping pace with the developments can be challenging," says the National Coffee Association, who made this topic one of the focal points of its 94th annual convention held in March 2005.

What to Look for When Purchasing a Coffeemaker:

Cuisinart takes the single-serve coffee phenomenon to the next level with the introduction of its Coffee on Demand™ 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker (model no. DCC-2000).

"The proliferation of pod coffeemakers reflects the growing consumer desire for coffee on demand," explains Mary Rodgers, Director of Marketing Communications for Cuisinart. "At Cuisinart, we've taken this convenience concept even further with a simple "press to serve" operation that delivers up to 12 cups of coffee."

Cuisinart's Coffee on Demand™ coffeemaker offers the benefits of a single-serve machine with a variety of innovative features that are not available on the market today. The new kitchen appliance dispenses one cup at a time, but has a double-walled reservoir with the capacity for twelve cups of coffee. An additional setting allows consumers to choose a one-to-four cup brewing option. Each 5-ounce serving is dispensed with an easy-to-use actuator.

The new coffeemaker has a special Coffee Gauge™, which indicates at a glance, how many cups of coffee are left in the reservoir.

Cuisinart's new coffeemaker is fully programmable with a 24-hour advance brew start and programmable auto shut-off up to four hours. A visible water level indicator makes filling the coffeemaker simple and eliminates the need for additional measuring tools.

Cleanup is easy with a removable drip tray located under the dispenser for catching drips and spills. The coffee reservoir and permanent gold-tone basket-style filter are both dishwasher safe.

The Cuisinart Coffee on Demand™ coffeemaker gives home chefs the flexibility to purchase coffee in a variety of forms, from beans to grounds; consumers are no longer limited to specific pod brands that are exclusive to a single company. In addition, since the machine brews one cup at a time, the coffee is fresh no matter what time of day it is. The 12-cup reservoir gives consumers the added flexibility of brewing one cup or several, without adding water every time they prepare coffee.

The new coffeemaker features professional brushed stainless housing and clean contemporary styling.
