Did you know that Peppermint was first used in ancient Egyptian times? Peppermint, which was first harvested in 17th century England, is a cross between spearmint and water mint. There are over 25 types of mint and 75% of it is grown in the United States! The most important part of a peppermint leaf is its oil content. The leaf is picked at a precise time of day during the summer months, when its oil content is the highest.

Commonly used for indigestion, peppermint has other beneficial properties as well.
