5 alarm chili


3 lbs of ground beef
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
4 medium Jalapeno peppers
3 chili peppers
1 habanero pepper
1 large or 2 small green bell pepper(2)
1 large and 1 med onion
4 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 large garden tomato
1/4 cup of chili powder
1 16oz can of tomato sauce
1 10oz can of red kidney beans (undrained)


In a large skillet add ground beef and salt and pepper, brown the beef and drain off fat add beef to a large Dutch over or crock pot set aside.
Chop all peppers and onions in to chunky pieces. In a large skillet add olive oil and chopped peppers and onions until onions are translucent and peppers are still a little firm add minced garlic and sauté for two more minutes, add mixture to Dutch over the meat give it a stir.
Add chili powder, tomato sauce and un-drained kidney beans stir to incorporate
Cut up tomato and place on top of chili mixture and cover pot
Cook in a Dutch oven on a low flame for 2-3 hours string occasionally
Cook in a crock pot for 4-6 hours or on a low setting for 4-6 hours
