No one wants to look bad in their wedding dress. The last thing someone needs is to feel self-conscious and uncomfortable on their wedding day. One way to look and feel your best is to prevent wedding day bloat. Here are our top five ways avoid bloating on your big day:
Drink a lot of water: The more water you drink the more your body will flush excess fluids out. This gets rid of water weight and also aids in digestion.
Exercise: Working out will not only better your overall mood and burn off some calories, this will also sweat out some excess water. Exercising also keeps food and air moving though the digestive system.
Avoid alcohol: There will be plenty of booze on your big day so don’t sweat it. You’re stress may be tempting you but avoid all alcohol! Since it causes indigestion and dehydration it will almost always cause bloating!
Reduce sodium intake: Don’t forget sodium doesn’t only come from you adding a little extra salt to your meals. It can be hidden in many “diet” sodas and cereals as well as all processed foods.
Don’t chew gum: Did you know that chewing gum causes you to swallow more air? Once that air gets trapped in your stomach and intestines you will feel gassy and bloated.
