3 cups whole cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 medium apple (honeycrisp or Gala)
2 whole cinnamon sticks
Combine water and sugar in saucepan and bring to boil. Add berries, apple (peeled and sliced) and cinnamon sticks and bring back to boil. Berries will begin to pop. Lower heat to simmer and cook about 10 minutes. Pour into bowl and serve at room temperature or pour into prepared jars, seal and use as needed.
