Microwave Caramel Corn
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon bakin soda
4 quarts of freshly popped popcorn
one clean brown paper grocery bag
Put popcorn in large brown paper bag and set aside.
In microwave safe bowl:
Stir in all ingredients except the baking soda and bag.
Microwave on high for 4 minutes.
Take butter mixture out of oven and sprinkle the soda over it and stir. When mixture is well mixed and bubbling pour over the popcorn and quickly mix well with a wooden spoon. Roll down top of bag and place in microwave on high for
1&1/2 min's. Take out and stir and shake the bag. Return to oven for an additional 1&1/2 min's. Spread on was paper till cool.
