Slow Cooker Shaved Ham with Chili Sauce

Ingredients
2 pounds shaved ham or *chip chopped ham
1 cup purple onion, finely diced
2-12 oz. bottles Heinz Chili Sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon or Stadium Mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons A1 Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
2 seeded,minced Jalapenos (optional)
1 cup water
Good quality buns,toasted for serving
Optional:
Cheddar or Swiss Cheese for serving
Prepared Cole slaw for serving
*Chip Chopped ham is an inexpensive, shaved processed ham loaf found in many supermarket deli's.
Instructions
Rinse ham in a colander briefly to remove excess salt.
Put rinsed ham in a large sauce pot or crock pot on low heat.
In a separate bowl, mix onion, Heinz Chili sauce, mustard, brown sugar, A1 or Worcestershire, relish, and Jalapenos if using along with water.
Add to ham and heat slowly, allowing sauce to become thick and sticky on ham (1-2 hours).
Serve on toasted buns with cheese and or cole slaw.
