2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 sleeve of saltine crackers
1 bag milk chocolate chips
chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
On a parchment paper lined baking sheet, line up the saltines in one layer with the crackers touching.
Melt the brown sugar and butter in a sauce pan. Cook for three minutes stirring constantly.
Pour the brown sugar mixture over the crackers, making sure all crackers are covered.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes. (Be careful not to let the brown sugar mixture get too dark in the oven--it should be golden brown)
Take the baking sheet out of the oven. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crackers and spread the chocolate over all the crackers. (I put the sheet back into the oven for a minute to help the chocolate melt faster)
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
Refrigerate for one hour. Break bark in small pieces.
