1 16oz. Can Pork & Beans
1 16oz. Pinto, or Chili Beans
1/2 Cup Catsup
1 sm. Onion
1/4 cup Bell Pepper (Green,Yellow,Orange or Red)
1/2 lb. Ground Beef
2 Beef Weiners (sliced 1/4")
4 slices bacon (chopped)
1/4 cup Molasses
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Tbsp. Dried Mustard (or 1 Tbsp. of prepared mustard)
1 clove crushed garlic
1/2 Tbsp. Chili Powder (you can also add chili pepper or hot sauce for that extra zip)
Great thing about this recipe is use what you have, you can swap out nearly everything in recipe for something similar. Usually I have everything in cupboard.
Pour beans and juices into large bowl, cook bacon add add to bean mixture. Cook onions in bacon oil, when nearly done add peppers continue cooking till translucent. Add to bowl with beans, brown ground beef then add sliced wieners, add to bean mixture. Add remaining ingredients stir mixture pour into 8 X 19 casserole dish. Bake at 350' for 35-45 minutes. These are great hot or at room temperature.
