Chicken Vegetable Soup


4- 5 chicken breasts

4 quarts water

Salt and pepper (to taste)

Lemon pepper (to taste)

3-4 Bay Leaves

3 -4 Potatoes (diced)

3-4 Carrots (diced)

3-4 stalks Celery (chopped)

1 Onion (chopped)

Vegetables such as green beans, corn and peas

1 can of tomatoes

2-3 cans tomato sauce

1 pint Okra cut up (fresh or frozen)

3 cups shredded Cabbage


Put chicken in slow cooker with water, lemon pepper, bay leaves, onion, and salt and pepper. Boil for about 3 hours on high and then remove chicken and put in the potatoes, carrots and celery. Cook until almost tender and then add all the other ingredients except okra, cabbage and chicken. When everything is tender, add chicken after it is torn apart, along with okra and cabbage. Cook about an hour longer. You can add more water along with some chicken bouillon cubes if needed.
