Mother's Crab Stew


1 pound white crab meat, shells removed
1 stick butter
4 eggs, hard boiled, mashed
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 sweet onion, chopped
1 quart half & half
1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
1 cooking spoon of dry sherry
Salt and pepper to taste
Tabasco to taste or red pepper flakes


Over medium-low heat melt butter; sauté celery and onion. Add crab meat. Over medium heat add mashed eggs and milk stirring frequently. Do not boil!

Add sherry, salt, pepper and Tabasco. Adjust seasonings to your taste.

Serve hot.
