Autumn Stew


2 lg cans of chicken broth
1/2 head of cabbage
2 lg granny smith apples
4-5 potatoes
5-6 carrots
1/2 tsp basil
1 pkg polska kielbasa
salt/pepper to taste


1) open both cans of broth put in pot and turn on med/high heat
2) peel and dice apples and put in broth
3) peel and dice potatoes and place in broth
4) peel and slice carrots then place in pot
5) cut up 1/2 head of cabbage then place in pot
6) cut up kielbasa in pieces then add to pot
7) add basil then bring to boil
8) cook until potatoes and carrots are tender
9) add salt & pepper to taste if desired
This is a great soup that is filling yet light.
