Chicken and Sausage SoupUser Submitted Recipe
1/2 pound Italian sausage
1 small head cabbage
1/2 pound mushrooms sliced
2 carrots sliced thin
salt and pepper
1 can garbanzo beans drained
6 cups chicken stock
1 pound boneless chicken cut into bite size pieces
Heat soup pot over med. heat with a little olive oil. Add sausage and break up into little pieces. Add cabbage and mushrooms. After a couple minutes add leeks and carrots. Season with salt and pepper. Add stock and beans and chicken pieces. cover and bring to a boil. Uncover the pot and turn heat down a bit. Serve with warm bread and enjoy.
