Easy Fire Roasted Tomato Soup
User Submitted Recipe
“
A simple version of a delicious, old favorite. It's tons better than soup out of a can with it's creamy and smoky taste that reminds me of soup I've had a expensive dinners. The bacon adds just the touch of hardiness while the chucks of tomato make it taste homemade. "
Ingredients
2 cans tomato soup, undiluted
One 12 oz can of evaporated milk
One 14.5 oz can of fire roasted tomatoes with juice
4 Tablespoons sour cream
4 Tablespoons cheddar cheese
2 Tablespoon real bacon bits
Instructions
Heat soup, milk and tomatoes. Ladle into bowls and top with 1 Tablespoon each of sour cream and cheddar cheese. Sprinkle each bowl with bacon bits.
This recipe can be halved and sauteed mushrooms added.
