Kraut Casserole

Ingredients

2 large cans Frank's Kraut, drained
1.5-2 c. granulated sugar
bacon (6-8 slices, uncooked)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 275-300 degrees F.

Stir together sauerkraut and sugar. Pour into flat casserole (9x13). Lay strips of bacon across the top of the sauerkraut. (I usually lay it lengthwise, but have had some bacon that fit better if I laid it the other direction.)

Bake, uncovered, for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the bacon is nicely browned.

This casserole is always a hit.
