Butternut Squash with Apples, and Cranberries

Great side dish that is savory and sweet. Very easy and delicious and a change of pace for any dinner with roasted chicken or turkey."
Ingredients
1 large butternut squash-peeled and cubed.
3 Jonagold apples, peeled and cored
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup pure maple syrup (preferably grade B)
4 Tbls. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 ground black Pepper
Instructions
Peel and seed squash, and cut into approximately 1 inch cubes. Peel core and cut apple into 1 inch cubes and set aside. Place squash and cranberries in casserole dish. Dot with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Pour maple syrup over all. Cover and microwave for 10 minutes. Add apples and combine. Microwave for an additional 15 minutes, until squash and apples are tender. Serve.
