Evalyn Lane's Cornbread Dressing


3 1/2 cups cornbread crumbs
3 1/2 cups white bread crumbs (We used French bread.)
1/4 cup butter melted
3 tbsp. minced onion
1 cup chopped celery
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. summer savory
2 tsp. sage
1 egg beaten slightly
1/2 cup milk
2 cups hot chicken broth


Mix bread crumbs. Melt butter and lightly sauté onion and celery in butter. Add onion, celery and other ingredients to bread crumb mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for around 25 minutes.
