East Texas Bar-B-Que Sauce

Tangy and thick sauce"


1 large bottle A-1 sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup hickory bar-b-que sauce
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 small onion diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup vinegar
2 tbl liquid bouquet
2 tbl liquid smoke
3 tbl worchestershire sauce
2 bay leaves


Combine all ingredients except butter,brown sugar and bay leaves in medium pot and heat to simmer.
Add brown sugar, butter and bay leaves.
Bring to medium boil for five minutes.
Reduce heat and cook on low simmer uncovered for one hour.
Serve over any meat of your choice.
Excellent additive to pinto beans.
