Cheesy Bacon Carbonara


Creamy Bacon Pasta
A deliciously creamy and smooth pasta. Quick and easy to make, so perfect for those lazy Sunday dinners."

Ingredients


1 1/2 cups bowtie pasta (home made is best)

6 rashers bacon, roughly chopped

1 medium onion, finely chopped

3/4 - 1 cup button mushrooms, roughly chopped

2 tsp crushed garlic

2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

1/4 tsp ground white pepper

1 1/4 cups thickened cream

1 cup grafted tasty cheese


Instructions

Begin cooking your pasta, be sure to retain half a cup of the pasta water. Meanwhile, pre heat a large frypan and saute the bacon and onion until the bacon begins to brown and onion turns translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook for a further 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Deglaze with the pasta water, and add the mustard and pepper. Add cream and cheese, simmer for 3-4 minutes, be careful not to let it boil. Add salt to taste. Stir in the drained pasta. Serve with parmesan cheese and garlic bread.
