“
This is my mother's recipe. She's been gone many years and I have very few of her recipes. Her sister & my sisters & I just love these and they are very easy to make. I prepare these every year at Christmas time."
Ingredients
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped nuts
3 large eggs
Instructions
Lightly beat eggs, then add sugar and whip eggs until thick and lightened in color. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir flour mixture into beaten eggs. Gently fold in dates & nuts. Pour into 8x8 inch pan and bake at 330 degrees until light golden. Cut into squares when cooled.
