No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cornflake Munchies
User Submitted Recipe
“
Quick and easy no bake treat you can make with the kids. You may need to make 2 batches - these go quickly at any gathering. May also be dropped on wax paper by tablespoons to make individual cookies. Just drizzle melted chocolate over top of cooled cookies."
Ingredients
6 cups corn flakes, crushed
2 1/4 cups crunchy peanut butter, divided
1 cup white sugar or Splenda
1 cup clear corn syrup
12 oz chocolate chips
Instructions
Heat 2 cups of peanut butter, sugar or Splenda and clear corn syrup in heavy bottomed saucepan over low heat until sugar is melted and mixture is creamy. Stir in cereal and quickly pat into a buttered 9"x13" cake pan.
Melt chocolate chips and remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter in glass bowl in microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time. Stir after each cycle. When creamy, pour over cereal mixture in cake pan and spread quickly over top. Allow 1/2 hour to cool. Cut into 24 bars when cool.
