Thanksgiving Derby Pie

A yummy but very rich pie that's a different dessert for after Thanksgiving dinner!"

Ingredients

1 C. white sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch
1 stick of melted butter, cooled (DO NOT USE MARGARINE)
2 large eggs, slightly beaten
3 tablespoons Makers Mark bourbon
1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 9” pie crust


Instructions

1 C. white sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch

2 large eggs, slightly beaten
3 tablespoons Makers Mark bourbon
1 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 9” pie crust

Preheat oven to 350º. Wisk together sugar and cornstarch until well blended. Stir in melted butter, eggs, and bourbon. Add nuts and chocolate chips and stir until well incorporated. Pour into prepared pie crust. Bake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown on top.
