Slow Cooker BBW Chicken
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/3 cup cola soft drink
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 lemon, sliced
Stir together first 4 ingredients in a small bowl and sprinkle over chicken. Place your chicken in a single layer in your slow cooker. Whisk together cola, ketchup, brown sugar and apple cider vinegar. Slowly pour between chicken pieces to try to avoid removing spices from chicken.
Cover with lemon slices and cook on low for about 8 hours. Shred your chicken with two forks. We used this in BBQ sandwiches and also topped a salad with the chicken. I added it to a quesadilla as well. Enjoy!
