Mexican Soup

Ingredients
6-8 garlich cloves peeled and left whole
4-6 pds of pork (shoulder and tenderloin) cut into bite size pieces
2 - onions quartered
4 - 5 bay leaves
4-5 T. Whole Oregano
2 pks or 12 oz of new mexico chili
1 large can of hominy
Instructions
Cut pork into bite size pieces and then put all ingredients into pot except for Hominy (hominy will be added when the dish is half way done).
Put water 4 inches above ingredients and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, put hominy in after an hour drained, stir a lot so it does not burn. Serve each bowl with cut up cabbage, onions and cilantro on top.
