Petite Smoked Sausages in Bread

These delicious petite finger foods are perfect for Tea Time for both little girls and big girls. They are also quick to go at any gathering where people are looking to graze..."

Ingredients

Two tubes of crescent dough
one pound of mini smoked sausages


Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Unwrap dough and roll out, separate triangles and cut each triangle long-wise from point to mid point the shortest side.
Place a sausage at the wide end and gently and loosely roll up the sausage inside the dough and place on a ungreased, non-stick cookie sheet. Two tubes of 8 rolls split according to this recipe will yield 32 Petite Piggies.
Bake the tray for 12 to 14 minutes, until puffy and golden.
Serve immediately but warn little ones off until they cool slightly.
For the adults, I like to serve with a ketchup/horseradish sauce made up of 1/2 cup ketchup with 1 tablespoon of horseradish mixed with it. Older children and especially teens seem to rather have "hot" ketchup (1/2 cup spiced up with Tabasco sauce or black pepper).
