6 slices of cubed bread, white, slightly stale or "day-old" bread cut into 16 cubes per slice
1/4 cup bacon drippings or butter
1 Tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (powdered type is fine)
1 Tablespoon onion powder

Quickly pour drippings or butter over bread cubes and sprinkle the spice mixture into the bowl. Snap on lid and shake vigorously. Pour cubes out onto non-stick cookie sheet. Bake in oven until golden or light brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and flip cubes and toast on opposite side. Remove and cool. Use same or next day. For longer storage, use plastic or wax paper bag and store in cool, dry area. Will maintain freshness for 4 to 5 days.
