NOTES: -If you don't like strawberries, any other frozen fruit will work instead. -If your slushie gets too warm in the blender (this might happen if you don't have a high-power blender) simply blend in a few more ice cubes or refrigerate for a while. VARIATIONS: - For a Strawberry-Coconut Slushy, add 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil or coconut butter. - For a Chocolate-Strawberry Slushy, add 1-2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder + 1 extra tablespoon honey (or maple syrup if vegan)
Strawberry Slushie (Dairy Free!)
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup ice
1/2 cup unsweetened, unflavored almond milk (or other non-dairy milk of choice), plus more as needed
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, or to taste (optional)
Instructions
1. Blend all ingredients together in a blender until thick and slushy-like. Add more ice or non-dairy milk as need to create desired consistency.
2. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
