Smoked Salmon Sandwiches
1 package cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp finely chopped shallot
1 tbsp capers, drained and chopped
1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
4 slices pumpernickel bread
6 oz thinly sliced smoked salmon
Ground black pepper
4 tbsp salmon caviar
dill sprigs for garnish
Prepare dill / caper cream cheese: In small bowl, mix cream cheese and next 4 ingredients until blended.
Spread dill/caper cream cheese evenly over bread. Arrange smoked salmon on top. Sprinkle with pepper. Place 1 tbsp caviar on each sandwich, if you like. Garnish with dill sprigs.
