Chili with Meat
2 Pounds ground beef
1 Large Onion, diced
1 Garlic clove, minced
1 Can tomatoes (28 ounces)
2 cans red kidney beans, rinsed and drained (15 ounces each)
1 can tomato sauce (15 ounces)
1/4 Cup chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.
Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic, stirring often, over high heat until all pan juices evaporate and beef is well browned. Stir in chili powder and pepper, cook for 1 minute.
Stir in tomatoes with their liquid, beans, and tomato sauce; heat to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer, stirring often, 30 to 35 minutes, Skim fat before serving.
