Pressure Cooker Sloppy Joes

Perfect comfort food for your family, and healthy too."


16 ounces extra-lean ground beef or turkey breast
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon yellow prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Steel Cut Oats
1 tablespoon Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
6 small hamburger buns


Spray pressure cooker container with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared container, brown meat, onion, and green pepper. Stir in undrained tomatoes, water, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Add oats, Splenda, and black pepper. Mix well to combine. Place cover on cooker and bring to LOW pressure over medium heat. Lower heat to stabilize pressure and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, wait for pressure to be released, remove cover, and stir. For each sandwich, spoon a full ½ cup meat mixture between a hamburger bun.
