Crispy Crunchy Croutons
“
Use these on your cream soups, under the cheese in French Onion Soup and of course on salads. However, my kids eat them straight out of the oven like a crunchy, hot buttered bread!"
Ingredients
1 loaf of white bread, day old cut into four, each way to make bread cubes.
1/2 lb butter, melted
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder
1/2 teas. paprika
1 1/2 tablespoons oregano
1 1/2 tablespoons sweet basil
Instructions
Preheat over 350 degrees.
In large bowl mix spices together. Add bread crumbs. While stirring gently, drizzle the melted butter over the bread cubes coating them evenly. Spread out on a large cookies sheet and bake at 350 for 3 to 5 minutes, until barely golden then with a spatula turn the cubes over to bake again for another 3 to 5 minutes. Remove and cool.
