Decadent Golden Buns

This recipe was passed down many years ago by my mother-in-law. It's a quick and unbelievable melt-in-your-mouth dessert. We all lead busy lives and sometimes we just need something to keep it simple. It doesn't get more simple than this recipe. I have used this recipe in a 'pinch'. Everyone wants to know the secret!"
Ingredients
1 pkg refrigerated cresent rolls
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Remove rolls from package. Do not unroll. Slice package into 8 pieces.
In bowl, mix brown sugar and heavy cream. Blend well, but do not whip.
Pour half of mixture in 9x9 greased pan. Place rolls evenly apart in pan. Pour remainder of mixture on top. Cover with foil. Bake for 20 minutes covered, then remove foil and bake another 15 minutes.
Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream!
