Peanut Butter Crisps
a twist on the old-time marshmallow, crisped rice treat
A simple addition of peanut butter and you won't make the old fashioned ones again."
4 Tbsp. butter
10 ounces marshmallows
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 1/2 cups crisped rice cereal
Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir till completely melted, quickly stir in vanilla then peanut butter. Remove from heat. Stir in crisped rice cereal. Once completely coated, press mixture into a buttered 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Use waxed paper or butter wrappers to press mixture. Serve warm or cool.
