Deet Taco Soup


2lbs ground venison
1 medium size yellow or white onion, chopped
1 medium size green bell pepper, chopped
2 medium size jalapeno peppers, chopped and seeded
1 (4oz) can of chopped green chiles
1 (10oz) can of tomato sauce
1 (10oz) can of whole kernel corn, undrained
2 (10oz) cans of ranch beans, undrained
1 (10oz) can of beef broth
1 envelope of taco seasoning mix
1 envelope of ranch salad dressing mix
Green onions, for garnish
Sour cream, for garnish
Fritos, for garnish
Pickled banana peppers, for garnish
Grated cheddar cheese, for garnish


Brown the 2 lbs of venison, green bell pepper, jalapeno peppers and onions in a large stockpot; you do not have to drain the fat because there will not hardly be any fat. Then add the beans, corn, tomato sauce, beef broth, green chiles, taco seasoning mix, and ranch dressing mix to stockpot with venison mixture. Stir until well mixed, cover and then cook on simmer or over low heat for about 1 hour. To serve, ladle soup in bowl and garnish with Fritos, sour cream, green onions, grated cheese and pickled banana peppers.
