Zesty Pasta Salad

During the hot, humid weather in Arkansas, I love a cold light pasta salad. I started this recipe without the edamame, but ended up adding it as a good source of protein. Everyone asks for this one! "


1 bag (12-16 oz) of tri-colored rotini pasta
1 jar of zesty italian dressing
1 bag of edamame (soybeans)optional
Dash - garlic salt
Dash - white/black pepper
Optional: dill to taste


Thaw edamame (if using); Boil pasta per directions; drain and run cold water through to rinse and cool down; place in mixing bowl, pour in zesty Italian dressing, mix in edamame and add seasonings to taste and mix well to cover pasta; cover bowl and place in fridge to chill (overnight to soak in dressing and flavors). Serve.
