Marsha's Favorite Broccoli Quiche
User Submitted Recipe
“
This is a favorite of Marsha for potlucks or family dinners. It is also a great substitute for eggs for a brunch. This recipe will soon appear in a cookbook, "Three Sisters in the Kitchen"."
Ingredients
3 eggs, beaten
1-1/2 cups milk or cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 box frozen broccoli florets
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 prepared pie crust
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cook broccoli according to directions on box; drain well. Set aside.
Stir together eggs, milk or cream, salt, pepper and mustard; stir in broccoli.
In a separate bowl toss together cheese and flour.
Add to egg mixture; mix well. Pour into pie crust.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Turn oven down to 325 degrees and bake an additional 30 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
