Nubian's Breakfast DelightUser Submitted Recipe
1 liter water
2 oz milk (preferably goat's) / 2 scoops milk powder
2 tbsp rolled oats
2 tbsp sugar / 1 ripe banana
1 tbsp flaxseed powder or whole seeds
1 pinch each to taste: salt, ground nutmeg, cinnamon & spice
Place all ingredients, EXCEPT the milk, into a medium saucepan and bring to the boil.
Simmer until the oats are fluffy and the flax seeds are softened. Do not let it get too thick!!
Liquefy small amounts in a blender/food processor and serve warm or cold.
Store in a glass bottle and warm as needed.
NOTE: Use within one day, as the grains are both high in omega fatty acids, and will spoil if not stored and used quickly.
Also, store oats, flax seed and other cereals in the fridge to avoid spoilage.
