Pumkin' Pie Oatmeal

For the Lil PuMMMkin'
This is a favorite I created one cold autumn morning and now enjoy year-round. Pure pumpkin has many health benefits and combined with a heart healthy bowl of oats, you have yourself, and your little ones, a great start to the day!"


1/2 can pureed pumpkin
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. milk
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. brown sugar
pinch of sea salt


On the stove, heat milk to a boil. In a bowl, mix dry oatmeal, spices, brown sugar and sea salt. Pour boiling milk over dry mixture and mix well. Stir milk and oatmeal mixture. Add more boiling liquid if preferred. Add in pureed pumkpkin, stir in well and enjoy! Add more brown sugar or a little Splenda for added sweetness!
