Simply Banana-Apple mix
User Submitted Recipe
“
I make this for my daughter who is 7 months old. She loves applesauce and I recently added bananas when she started making chewing movements with her mouth. Also, using sweet apples with this recipe calls for less added sugar if any at all."
Ingredients
4 sweet apples (ex. red delicious, fuji, gala)
1 medium banana
Cinnamon (optional)
Water
Instructions
Peel apples then cut the sides to take out the core.
Chop the sides into squares.
In a pot, pour cut apple pieces and add enough water to cover the apple pieces.
(Optional) Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple pieces and stir.
Cook on low heat for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the pieces are mushy. Use a potato masher to to crush the apples into applesauce.
While that is cooking cut up the banana into small cubes.
Allow the applesauce to cool then add cut up banana pieces, mix together and serve.
