Prunes
Cuisinart Original RecipeIngredients
2 cups dried prunes, pitted
Instructions
Soak prunes in cold water overnight.
Strain prunes and place in saucepan, covered by 2 inches of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer. Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, until soft.
Place prunes in food processor work bowl fitted with metal chopping blade. Process for 30 seconds. Process again adding the cooking liquid to create the smoothest consistency.
Allow mixture to cool. Store in refrigerator in airtight container for up to 3 days or fill ice cube trays or other containers to freeze.
