Spicy cilantro lime turkey burgers with smokey mayonnaiseUser Submitted Recipe
2 lbs of fresh ground turkey breast
1 jalapeno finely diced
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
1 clove of garlic minced
1-2 limes juiced
1/4 cup olive oil
1 T kosher salt
1/2 T ground black pepper
1 cup good mayonnaise
1 chipoltle pepper in 1/4 cup adobe sauce( you can substitute 1/4 cup of your favorite barbeque sauce)
4 bakery quality hamburger rolls
Juice the limes to get about 1/4 cup of juice. Whisk in the olive oil, salt, pepper, diced jalapeno, and garlic. Add the cilantro. Pour over the ground turkey and gently mix to combine. Form into 4-1/2 pound burgers. Refrigerate. To make the sauce...Chop the chiplotle pepper and mix with the 1/4 cup of adobe sauce and 1 cup of mayonnaise. Grill the burgers 4 minutes a side. Brush the buns with olive oil and grill for 90 seconds to toast before serving. Top with the chipoltle mayonnaise.
