Shrimp a la Creme

Easy and light shrimp entree. So good your company will think it took you hours to prepare when it's only 20 minutes."


1 lb. peeled shrimp [fresh or already cooked]
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tbls. olive oil
3 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. Emerils Blast spices [or similar cajan spices - optional]
2 cups Panko Crumbs
1 tbls. flour
2 tbls. vodka or white wine
1 package Alfredo Garlic mix or any Alfredo mix
1-1/4 cups light 1/2 & 1/2 milk
1 tsp. parsley
Linguini or rice.


Lightly brown minced garlic in olive oil.
Mix panko crumbs with flour, cajan spices, 1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper. After rinsing shrimp, sprinkle lemon juice over shrimp then roll each one in the crumb mixture. Lightly fry each one in the garlic & oil.
While the shrimp cook, whisk together the Alfredo Mix with the vodka/or wine and the milk.
After the shrimp are browned, pour the Alfredo mixture over the shrimp and slowly bring to medium heat - do not boil, let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. If it gets too thick add a tablespoon milk. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve over linguini or rice.
