Marinated Chuck RoastUser Submitted Recipe
one 3 to 4 # Chuck Roast 1 1/2 " thick. Unflavored meat tenderizer
1/2 cup ketchup
1 Tablespoon prepared mustard
1 Tablespoon Vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
2 Tablespoons Worchestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon salt
Sprinkle both sides of roast liberally with meat tenderizer. Pierce each side 8 to 10 times with fork. Set roast aside for 10 minutes.
Mix catsup and mustard well. Add garlic powder, pepper and salt and stir. Add oil, worchestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
Pour marinade in a one gallon resealable plastic bag. Add the roast. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 hour to overnight.
Heat grill to hot. Place roast on grill and reduce heat to medium low and close grill lid. Continue to baste roast with marinade and turn frequently. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until desired doneness. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing into 1/4 " thick slices. to use the remaining marinade, cook for 10 minutes over high heat.
