Sausage Stuffed Peppers

Serve the peppers on top of a large scoop of mashed potatoes."
Ingredients
1 lb. Maple flavored breakfast sausage
1/2 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 teas salt
1/2 teas. pepper
1/4 teas. allspice
4 green bell peppers, cleaned, cored and halved
1 can of condensed tomato soup
2 cups beef broth
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine spices with cooked rice until evenly blended then combine with meats. Divide meat equally into 8 balls. Place one in each of the halved peppers and place into a 9x12 baking dish. Bake in the oven 25 minutes. Whip the condensed soup with the beef broth. After initial 25 minutes in the oven, remove the peppers and pour the tomato/broth mixture over the peppers, reduce oven heat to 350 degrees and return pan to the oven for a final 25 minutes of baking.
