Broccoli Dahl


1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp mustard seed
2 Tbsp coconut oil
2 cups finely chopped broccoli
2 cups water
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 Tbsp Braggs or coconut aminos
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp garahm masala
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Quinoa or brown rice


Heat the coconut oil, when hot add the cumin and mustard seeds until they begin to pop and become fragrant. Add the water and broccoli, and bring to a boil. Cover the pot and simmer for 20 mins. Add the rest of ingredients and lower the heat, cook until heated through. Stir well, serve over quinoa or brown rice, and enjoy.
