“
You have to start early on this to let it bake in the oven, but it is well worth it."
Ingredients
4 lbs thinly sliced round steak, about 1/4 thin
1 onion, diced
2 pkg bacon
1/4 cup water
Box of toothpicks
3 tbls spoons of oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Tenderize the steak and salt and pepper them. Lay down two strips of bacon followed by about a Tbsp of onion.
Starting at the smaller end, roll up the steak and insert two to three toothpicks to hold together. Brown the rolled steaks in medium hot oil and place into a roasting pan. After all have been browned and placed into roasting pan, add 1/4 water and put the lid on. Back in the oven for about 5 hours.
Make a mushroom gravy out of the drippings. Serve with mashed potato and your favorite veggie.
