TURKEY TETRAZINNIUser Submitted Recipe
For Leftover Turkey
4 c white turkey breast,shredded
2 cups celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 can (10 ounces) cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 c Best (Hellmans) mayonnaise
1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded—(can substitute shredded asiago or romano if desired)
1 c sour cream (can add more sour cream if more moistness needed)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 can (3 ounces) French-fried onions or 1/2-1 c. slivered almonds, toasted
Add the following ingredients if you'd like:
*1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained
*1 can (4 ounces) sliced pimentos, drained
1/4 box of thin spaghetti, broken in half, cooked to pkg. directions.
In a large bowl, combine turkey, celery, green pepper, chicken soup, cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well. Add more sour cream if you feel it is too dry. Spoon into a 9- by 13-inch baking dish or casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 45 minutes, or until bubbly.
Sprinkle with onions (or almonds) and bake 10 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes. Delicious----even better the next day----if there is anything left
